Who Was Involved

Sponsors

The Community Asset Inventory success factors and deliverables were crafted with  recognition of the community’s current proactive planning efforts including, but not limited to, the Building a Creative Economy (BACE), City of Rochester Park and Recreation Department, Crime and Prevention Planning, Destination Medical Community, and the Rochester Downtown Master Plan. The CAI is not intended to crossover on planning efforts, but serves as an unbiased data collection tool to find Rochester’s current status with regard to arts and culture. The process is of significant value. It is collaborative in nature and connects community organizations through data gathering and content development. This data collection can then help to benchmark the goals as Rochester proactively plans for its growth. CAI team members have worked to develop a process and scope of work that caters to the deliverables included.

The CAI scope was designed for the full Rochester community and not limited only to the downtown area. Funding partners include the Destination Medical Community, the Rochester Downtown Alliance, The City of Rochester, and the University of Minnesota Rochester.

Planning & Administration

The Community Asset Inventory About YoU project is truly a grassroots effort developed and administered almost completely by volunteers.  In fact, more than 140 individuals volunteered on work groups and committees:

Thank you to those who participated, and to the local businesses and organizations who graciously donated their resources, time and talent.
